The outer shell of the Shadowmatt is made of polycarbonate, which is a material used, among other things, for high-end motorcycle helmets. It is covered with anti-scratch mat painting. The inner shell is made of polystyrene with variable density providing a better dissipation of the energy produced upon impact. 

For ultimate comfort and contentment, the interior of the helmet has a removable/washable memory foam lining: a feature that allows the helmet to conform fully to your head, preventing the discomfort of compression points. Enhancing the comfort of memory foam Samshield has bypassed the necessity for shell vents with the incorporation of their innovative ventilation system that sends air flowing under the visor and up into the space between the shell and memory foam liner, keeping you cool and keeping your focus on your horse, not the heat!
