The Mattes Half Pad w/ Rear Trim provides extra protection for your horses back while taking advantage of all the benefits sheepskin has to offer! Can be used over a thin pad or directly on the horses back. Helps to hold your saddle in place, while staying breathable and moisture wicking. With the Mattes Correction System, you can maintain the balance and straightness of your saddle as your horse moves through the season or you can account for asymmetries in build. This pad has two pockets in front and two in back fit for Poly-Flex® shims which are included. These shims are 5mm thick, designed to be layered, and are easily trimmed with scissors. If multiple shims are necessary, you can taper their ends to create a pressure free fit. Poly-Flex is resilient, shock absorbing, doesn’t bottom out like foam or other materials, and allows incremental adjustments to be made easily.
