Designed to combine the effects of a snaffle and curb, the French Link Pelham Bit offers precise control without the use of a full bridle. The French style double-jointed mouthpiece decreases the nutcracker effect, making this a somewhat milder bit than a single-jointed snaffle. This bit encourages the horse to bend at the poll with the application of poll pressure applied by the curb reins. Direct pressure for steering is applied with the snaffle rein.
