The oval link mouthpiece reduces pressure on the tongue and with the thicker, rounded center link, this bit is milder than most other double-jointed snaffles. The full cheek bit assists with turning and when used with a set of bit keepers, becomes very stable in the horse’s mouth. Often helpful for sensitive horses, full cheek bits should not be used in mounted games like polocrosse in which where equipment could be caught on the extended bars.
